Frontpane privacy policy

This policy explains how Frontpane, the iPhone app published by Om Ray, handles your information. It was last updated on November 7, 2026.

What Frontpane reads

Frontpane connects to your Tesla over Bluetooth and asks it for driving and charging data: speed, gear, battery level, range, charging power, arrival time and battery at arrival from the car's navigation, tire pressure and temperature. It never sends lock, unlock, climate, charging or driving commands.

What stays on your iPhone

The latest values, your trip log and the last charge level for the widget stay on your iPhone. The key that lets the phone talk to your car is created on the phone and kept in its Keychain. It never leaves the phone.

What leaves your iPhone

Nothing. Frontpane has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising code and no server. It sends nothing to Om Ray or to anyone else.

Purchases

Frontpane Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and Om Ray never sees your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases.

Deleting your data

Deleting Frontpane removes everything it stored, including the trip log and the phone key. To remove the key from your car as well, delete it under Locks in the car's touchscreen.
