Refresh Watcher

Refresh Watcher privacy policy

This policy explains how Refresh Watcher, published by Om Ray, handles your information. It was last updated on November 2, 2026.

What stays on your device

Refresh Watcher stores its settings in your browser profile. Timers for open tabs, including each tab's title, site address, interval and alert state, live in chrome.storage.session, which the browser clears when it closes. Site presets and any license you activate live in chrome.storage.local until you remove them or uninstall the extension.

When you turn on an alert for a site, Refresh Watcher reads the visible text of that page, or of the area you picked, after each refresh. It compares that text with what you asked it to watch for, on your device, and keeps only what it needs for the next comparison: whether the text was present, or the last text of the picked area. While you set up a tab, it also keeps the setup you're editing, including the picked area's selector and a short sample of its text, in session storage. It does not read form entries, cookies or passwords, and it does not run in incognito windows.

What leaves your device

Nothing about the pages you watch. Refresh Watcher has no analytics, no advertising code and no server that receives page addresses, page text or alert history. Alerts are shown with your browser's notification system. Refreshing a page sends the usual request to that website, the same as pressing reload yourself.

Permissions

Refresh Watcher can refresh tabs and show the countdown without access to any website. It asks for access to a single site, such as https://store.example.com/*, only when you turn on an alert, a click before refresh or a site preset there. You can remove that access at any time in your browser's extension settings. Refresh Watcher also uses activeTab, storage, alarms, notifications, contextMenus, scripting and offscreen to run timers, keep settings on your device, show alerts, offer the right-click menu, check the page you chose and play the alert sound.

Purchases and licenses

The free version needs no account and no payment details. Choosing the optional $29.95 Pro purchase opens a Stripe-hosted payment page (the seller is shown there as Phos). Stripe and the publisher process your billing and contact details to complete the purchase, deliver a license and handle refunds or legal obligations. After payment, the license page at products.omray.dev asks Stripe whether that checkout was paid and shows your license. It does not store your payment details and never receives the pages you watch. Your license is checked on your device. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment page.

Retention and deletion

Timers end when you stop them, close their tab or close the browser. Presets stay until you remove them. Uninstalling Refresh Watcher deletes all of its stored data, including the license. Om Ray keeps no copy of your settings and cannot recover them.

Use of information

Refresh Watcher uses page text only to decide whether to alert you. No person reads it. Om Ray does not sell it, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. If these practices change, this policy and the store disclosure will be updated first.
