Save Chrome tabs locally and reopen them later
Save a named group with Tab Saver, restore selected tabs, and keep a separate JSON backup without creating an account.
Save and return to a project
Open Tab Saver in the window containing your project tabs. Use Ctrl+Shift+Y on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+Y on macOS. Review the titles and URLs, select the tabs you want, and save them as a named group. Pinned tabs start unchecked, so select those explicitly if they belong in the group.
Leave closing off if you want to keep working, or select it to close tabs after the extension verifies the save. Later, restore the whole group or select individual tabs to reopen. Restoring keeps the saved copy, and your library stays in your Chrome profile without an account or cloud sync.
Limits and backups
The free workflow includes five groups, restoring, undo and JSON backups, with an approximately 8 MB local size guard. Only HTTP and HTTPS tabs in the current window are supported, excluding incognito tabs and browser settings pages. Saved groups preserve URLs, titles, pinned state and order, not unsaved forms, running pages, tab groups or scroll positions. Export a separate JSON backup because removing the extension or deleting the profile removes local data. Restored websites make their usual network requests and follow their own privacy practices.
