Keep saved tabs on your device with Tab Saver

Check Tab Saver's local storage, verified saves and JSON backups against your needs, including the limits of saving page addresses.

Check the safeguards that matter

Tab Saver is an option if your priority is keeping saved tab groups inside your Chrome profile. It uses chrome.storage.local without an account, cloud sync, analytics or remote favicon requests. Its safeguards address specific risks, rather than proving that one tab manager is safer in every situation.

Review titles and URLs in the current window, select your tabs, and save a named group. Pinned tabs start unchecked, and closing stays off unless you select it. If you choose closing, the extension verifies the save first and leaves tabs open if saving fails. Export a separate JSON backup, then check group and tab counts before importing it into another library. Imports merge contents rather than replacing the library.

Limits of local storage

Local storage isn't a separate backup, because removing the extension or deleting the profile removes its data. Tab Saver includes five free groups and an approximately 8 MB size guard. It saves URLs, titles, pinned state and order for HTTP and HTTPS tabs in the current window, excluding incognito tabs and settings pages. It doesn't save unsaved forms, running pages, tab groups or scroll positions, so save unfinished work first. Restoring opens websites normally, with their usual network requests and privacy practices.
